Overview
These Service Credit Terms govern your purchase, receipt, or use of any Layerbrain prepaid credits, promotional credits, or similar stored service value ("Service Credits"). These terms supplement any main agreement, order form, or product-specific terms that apply to the Services.
Types of service credits
Layerbrain may issue two general types of Service Credits:
- Prepaid credits, which you purchase in advance for use with eligible Services
- Promotional credits, which we provide without charge as part of a promotion, trial, research program, or other limited offer
We may also define additional credit categories in a product-specific agreement or offer.
Nature of service credits
Service Credits:
- are not legal tender or personal property
- do not represent a bank account, deposit, or stored-value account
- have no cash value except where required by law
- are non-transferable unless we expressly authorize a transfer in writing
- may only be used for eligible Services designated by Layerbrain
How credits are applied
Unless we state otherwise, Service Credits are applied automatically to eligible usage before any remaining amount is charged through another payment method.
When multiple credits are available, we may apply them in the following order:
- promotional credits nearing expiration
- other promotional credits
- prepaid credits nearing expiration
- other prepaid credits
Expiration
Service Credits expire on the date stated at purchase, issuance, or in the applicable promotion or order form. If no different expiration period is stated, promotional credits may expire at the end of the applicable promotion, and prepaid credits may expire one year after purchase.
Expired credits are removed from the applicable account or workspace and cannot be restored unless required by law.
Restrictions
You may not sell, assign, sublicense, gift, or transfer Service Credits except where Layerbrain expressly permits it in writing. We may suspend, revoke, or cancel Service Credits obtained through abuse, fraud, unauthorized transfer, chargeback, or misuse of the Services.
Refunds
Payments used to purchase Service Credits are non-refundable except where required by law or where Layerbrain expressly agrees otherwise in writing. Promotional credits are never redeemable for cash.
Taxes
You are responsible for any taxes, duties, levies, or similar governmental charges associated with the purchase or use of Service Credits, except for taxes based on Layerbrain's net income.
Changes to credit programs
We may change, discontinue, or limit Service Credit programs at any time. If we do, we may also update these terms and the relevant offer terms, order forms, or product documentation.
